NBC Charlotte at the Plants for Human Health Institute

Plants for Human Health Institute director Dr. Mary Ann Lila appeared with local TV legend Larry Sprinkle of NBC Charlotte on March 18, 2014. The story featured Dr. Lila and her work to develop produce-enhanced functional food ingredients for Army rations, among other uses.

The segment also included the David H. Murdock Research Institute (DHMRI) and UNC Nutrition Research Institute as part of a focus on the N.C. Research Campus, a life sciences hub with 19 university and industry partners in Kannapolis.
