Fresh Produce Safety Training in Western N.C.

N.C. Cooperative Extension agents from the West District will conduct the Tier 1 N.C. MarketReady Fresh Produce Safety—Field to Family training workshop at the Mountain Horticulture Research and Extension Center located at 455 Research Dr. in Mills River, NC. The seven-hour training will be divided into three sessions on Mondays January 11, January 25 and February 8 from 9 to 11:30 a.m. The fee for the training is only $15/person. Tailgate market vendors are encouraged to take part in the training.

Fresh Produce Safety Curriculum Training Offered for Extension Agents

November 2009 N.C. MarketReady will host a free webinar series for N.C. Cooperative Extension agents to introduce the just-released N.C. MarketReady Fresh Produce Safety – Field to Family Good Agricultural Practices (GAPs) Training Curriculum. The four-part webinar series will include information on the curriculum resources, a review of each Tier 1 module and an explanation of the participant tracking procedure.
