Mr. Justin Moore provides communications and public relations expertise to the Plants for Human Health Institute (PHHI), including the N.C. Cooperative Extension component of PHHI. He works with faculty and staff with the institute and Cooperative Extension to develop and execute a variety of strategic marketing communication plans and resources. Responsibilities include media relations, website updates, writing and editing expertise, multimedia development and the creation, packaging and marketing of educational resources that position PHHI and Cooperative Extension for continued success.
In both 2012 and 2013, he was co-recipient of the Blue Ribbon Extension Communication Award from the American Society of Horticultural Science (ASHS) for his work on PHHI “publications and materials that are novel applications or have generated impact with growers.”
Prior to joining N.C. State University, Moore coordinated public relations campaigns for Fortune 500 companies and local, national and international brands as an account executive at a respected PR-Marketing-Market Research firm in Greensboro, North Carolina. He also spent time implementing Search Engine Optimization (SEO) strategies for a wide variety of clients in Western North Carolina and the Charlotte Metro in collaboration with a Hickory, N.C.-based internet marketing agency. His versatile background includes freelance endeavors in editing, design, project management and writing for diverse audiences.
