Mr. Rod Gurganus, Extension Associate, serves as director of the N.C. MarketReady program. He specializes in entrepreneurial agriculture and represents the program in eastern North Carolina. He works with farmers, agribusinesses, state and local agencies, and economic development officials to identify and develop opportunities for value-added and innovative agriculture. Prior to his current position, Rod was a Cooperative Extension agent and farmer in Beaufort County. He is based at the Vernon G. James Research and Extension Center, located in Plymouth at the Tidewater Research Station.
